Aurora Hunting

The Aurora Hunting experience is a private nighttime journey designed to give you the best possible chance to witness Iceland’s Northern Lights in their most natural setting.

Your driver carefully selects the route each night based on real-time weather conditions, cloud cover, and aurora activity, traveling either within or beyond the city to reach the darkest and clearest skies.

If no auroras are visible during your tour, your experience can be rescheduled for another night at no additional cost, allowing you a second opportunity to witness this rare natural phenomenon.

Pricing varies depending on whether the journey takes place within Reykjavík or into remote countryside locations, as well as on the total time dedicated to the experience. This allows each aurora hunt to be tailored to the conditions of the night and your preferences.

For photography and visual contrast under the Northern Lights, we recommend wearing light-colored jackets or clothing, as they reflect the aurora’s glow beautifully and stand out against the dark Icelandic landscape.
